Most of our visuals are procedurally generated. We are using a combination of L-Systems and Fractal Mathematics to generate trees, terrain, grass and other vegetation. We decided to use procedurally generated content in order to increase the scope of our game's art. This allows us to have an unlimited variety of 2D and 3D art assets all generated at run-time which also helps save hard drive space. Incidentally all the art on the website has been generated by our engine.
